Yesterday we took Garrett to the airport. He orriginally thought that he would have to "make his own way" to Kuwait, and scheduled himself a seat on a C-17. The Air Force had different (and better) plans. He left on a charter plane full of Army guys from Baltimore at 9:40 pm yesterday.
We drove down to Maryland and had dinner with his parents. Then the kids and I dropped him off at the Baltimore airport. BWI does so many military flights, the Air Force has their own AMC (Air Mobility Command) parking section and desk!
Garrett got to fly first class - helps to be an officer! He arrived in Germany, and had a short layover at Ramstein AFB. He made it to Kuwait after about 24 hours. He's in processed and very tired. They have already scheduled him for a flight on Thursday! I don't think he will have to worry about having enough to do! He will also be finishing 2 classes from his master's course. He says that there are only 7 crews flying out of Kuwait, and that so far everyone seems nice.
Matthew misses him. It was a rough day! Tanner & Nikki understand that 2 months is really not very long, and are fine (for the most part). Matthew sees Garrett's truck parked out front, and insists that Daddy is home. Hopefully he gets into a groove soon!
We all miss him when he is gone. Please pray for his safety, and that his spirits will be high! If you would like to send Garrett mail, please email me for his address. He is only going to be there for 2 months, and it takes about 12 days for mail to get there, so he really doesn't want packages. But letters are always nice!

We'll definitely keep him in our prayers. Let us know if you ever need some extra help. You can borrow Dave for any kind of hard or heavy work around the house!
Or if you are sad and miss your hubby too much you can come see me.
This is something I am not looking forward too. Good luck and you all are in our prayers!
